GM Dassen begain his martial arts training in 1976 and in 1994 began his Hapkido career. He has been a direct student of Dojunim Ji, Han Jae since 1996. He formed the Belgian-Dutch Sinmoo Hapkido Association in 2000 and teaches in at the Chung Do Dojang in Rekem, Belgium.
